How do I
know if I will be able to take advantage of this service to help
clear my debts?
What do I have to do first?
1.
Ok,
what’s your current situation like? Do you have a number of credit
cards, perhaps one or two store cards, and perhaps even a personal
loan? Maybe more than one! Now ask yourself these questions:

Are you struggling with your monthly repayments?
·
Are the outstanding balances far more than you can
really cope with?
·
Are you becoming more and more concerned about
everything?
·
Would you like help in trying to resolve
your debt problems?
If
your answer is yes to any of these questions, then maybe we can
help!
2. Next, you need to
identify all the different cards and loans you have. So, list them
all out, one by one:
·
Credit Cards
·
Store Cards
·
Unsecured Loans
3.
Now, look at each one individually, and see if:
a. It
has an outstanding balance of more than
£2,000
but less than
£25,000, and
b. The
card or loan agreement was taken out before the
1st
April 2007
c. If
the answer is NO to either of the above questions, then that
particular card or loan cannot be considered. We can only consider
cards or loans that satisfy both a) and b) above.
d. Add
up all the outstanding balances in order to see exactly what level
of debt you have. If you have an unsecured or personal loan, then
you will probably need to contact the loan company in order to
obtain an outstanding balance.

At this stage, it is
important to understand that once you have entered into an agreement
with Credit Issues, you must stop using any of
the credit cards or store cards that are being taken into
consideration.
5. Equally,
you must keep on paying the normal monthly payments,
even though this will normally be the minimum monthly payment. This
is very important.
6. If
you need to keep a credit card, just for normal day to day use, then
ensure that at least one is put to one side and is not included in
this service so that you can carry on using it.
How much
is this going to cost me?
1. It
may not be as much as you think! Now that you know what your total
indebtedness is, we can assess what the cost to you is going to be
to use our service.
We
can discuss this with you, but please consider how you are going to pay
for this, and whether you have some money in your savings that will
cover this. Perhaps you have funds in your current account which you
are going to use, or maybe you have a separate credit card which you
can use (remembering that this card can still be used by you as it
will not be included in the service).
2. We
can discuss this with you very easily and even send you a form to
help you work out the costs. So you can either do yourself or we can
do it for you, whichever is easier.
3. You
will probably be pleasantly surprised when you realise how little
it’s going to cost, particularly when you consider how much of your
debt can potentially be wiped out.

How long will it take for my debts to be cleared?
1. Please
bear in mind that this will not happen overnight! There is quite a
lot that we need to do, and there is a precise process that has to
be followed to ensure that your application is successful. Typically
this can take anywhere from three to six months from start to
finish. So you need to be patient.
You
will be kept informed about what is happening on a regular basis,
but if you do not hear anything for two or three weeks at a time, do
not think that anything has gone wrong. It hasn’t. But the process
is time consuming, so once again, please be patient.
2.
As stated above, it is

importantly) you want us to help, then we can

to come and see you, go through everything and get you to sign all
the relevant forms that will 'kick start' the whole process.
